Still Waiting

We went to the doctor today to hopefully get the results of the biopsy. They did warn us there was a possibility that the results would not be in yet, and unfortunately they were not. Waiting has been hard the past couple of days, but I guess we are learning patience.

We were disappointed, but we were encouraged by the doctors who really feel strongly that this is a lymphangioma, which is a benign tumor, meaning no cancer. They said that everything they saw during the biopsy looked like this type of tumor. This something that she would have been born with and will always have, but it won’t really need any treatment unless it gets bigger again, which could happen if she bumps her head or gets sick. If that happens she would just need to go have it drained again, or they could possibly inject it with something that would make it shrink. So, we are still waiting for the official results but feel very hopeful.

Paige is doing really well. She is back to her normal self. Her eye is healing well, it hardly looks any different from her other eye now. She is one tough little girl and we are so blessed to have her in our family. We are doing good. After the past week feeling so full of stress and preparing for the worst, to have everything mostly back to normal seems a little strange (in a very good way).

Thank you for your prayers and service for our family. We are blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. Please keep Paige in your prayers while we continue waiting for another day or two for the final results. Here is a picture of our family that we took on Sunday.

Thanks for the update. The research I've done also seem to fit what they are thinking. I've read that they have tried a drug we use for these also, and I happened to meat with the rep of the drug tonight, and he is going to put in a request to see the latest research and get back to me about it. I'm glad you all look so well. Hang in there with the stress.
